Boho, hippie, flower child regardless of what the name is what’s not to love about this simple fashion trend? One thing I love about fashion is that even when you’re having a bad day you can look in your closet, find something fantastic, and undoubtedly lift your spirits. This new trend, along with warm weather finally [and I do mean finally] upon us, why not turn up that fun spirit a notch with a simple, flirty boho style?
High waisted denim shorts [or denim in general] are all the rage right now. Being from the South obviously I’m thrilled about the denim comeback! Don’t get my started on how overalls are on their way back in [glory days anyone!?] Don’t feel comfortable rocking that crop top you’ve seen all those teeny-boppers wearing? A simple t-shirt, or even a casual cotton vest, could be the perfect solution to covering up. Did I mention I love layering? I layer necklaces, bracelets… basically any sort of jewelry to be honest… okay I might have a bit of a problem. But seriously, it just gives your outfit that extra pop. Right now I’m really into layering long necklaces like the ones you see here from Eva Fehren and The Stellar Boutique. I’ve also got some great pieces from Skinny by Jessica Elliot in my closet right now. Plus, I love these Silhoutte Rings from Ariel Gordon as well!
Last, but not least, lets talk about these Koolabura Enez Fringe Espadrilles. To. Die. For. I might be mildly [okay insanely] obsessed with fringe right now. Shoes, bags, vests [I saw this vest from Lucky Brand and I almost died right there in the store] and even shorts. Tracy Reese has a stellar pair of brown fringe leather shorts on the market right now! Fringe is a must have in my closet this year. These Koolaburra sandals add the perfect amount of boho without going overboard if you’re nervous about embracing your inner flower child.
But seriously, this trend is all about having fun and embracing your inner boho goddess. It’s the clothing equivalent of that feeling when you get when your toes touch the grass that first day of spring and you just want to spin around in the sun, you know like you’re a kid again. Embrace the love. Buy the Fringe.
